What to Expect

Have questions about how we worship or what you'll experience on Sundays?

What can I expect during the worship service?

Every Christian church has its own style of worshiping Jesus. Our services meet you where you're at - whether you're brand new or have been worshipping with us for years.

At Messiah, we enjoy three different styles of services:

Our early service is best described as a traditional worship service, with familiar hymns accompanied by the organ, responsive readings and the pastor even wears a robe.

We call our late service our praise service and it captures a more informal atmosphere with upbeat music from a variety of instruments and song leaders. Song lyrics and scripture passages are projected to a screen.

During our late service, we also host Messiah's Kids Church, where your child will learn simple lessons about God, sing praise songs and learn what is involved in worship while interacting with other children. They'll make new friends in a safe, Christian environment. Your children will join you towards the end of your worship service for a closing blessing.

In every service, the message of God's love, what he expects of us and how it applies to our everyday life is clearly communicated - just the setting and delivery is different!

What should I wear?

There is no dress code at Messiah.

Generally, attendees are more formal in our traditional worship service and more casual during the praise service.

However, in every service, you’ll see some people dressed in jeans and a polo, others will be dressed in shorts and a t-shirt, still others will be more formal in a tie or dress. Come as you are, however you are most comfortable!

What kind of church are you?

We’re a Lutheran church, part of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. But more important than our affiliation is our set of beliefs – you can find those here.

What about my kids? Will they attend worship with me?

We love having children in our services. Most importantly - children are welcome in our services, stickiness, noisiness, off-key singing; we love and invite it all.

Our team is dedicated to creating a welcoming worship experience for every member of your family.

During our late service, we also host Messiah's Kids Church, where children ages 3-5th grade experience Bible lessons, sing praise songs and learn about God's love in an environment uniquely created for them.

How can I preview your service before I attend?

We live stream our late service every Sunday. Visit our livestream on Sunday mornings to experience Messiah from the comfort of your own home.

We also archive our past messages in our sermon archive, for on-demand content.
